The hype of Marathon never ceases even though the name of the place changes. The soil remains the same and the air which brings the enthusiasm grows all the time. The hope to win the race is always there, the optimistic vision of getting that prize never erodes.

Indira Marathon is the National Marathon held in Prayagraj. It’s held to celebrate the Birth Anniversary of India’s former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

When is the event?

Indira Marathon and Cross Country will be held on 19th November 2019.

What’s the timing?

The Full Marathon will begin at sharp 6:30 AM and cross country will also begin around 6:30 AM.

All about the starting and finishing line:

The run will start at Anand Bhavan and along the way, you will get lots of refreshments as there are lots of refreshment booths set up for you.

On your way you will be passing Teliarganj, Mayo Hall crossing, and you can see that High Court building too.

You will come across the CMP College and Prayagraj Agricultural Institute.

As you inch closer to the finishing line you just have to get through the Yamuna Bridge and Hanuman Temple. And eventually, you will see the finishing line which is at Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium.

Race Category:

At Indira Marathon, you can get to run the Full Marathon which covers the mighty distance of 42.2Km.

Also, if you are between 15 years and 20 years old of the age group you can participate in The Cross-Country Race which covers the distance of 8 Km.

Prize details:

There would be three winners among which the first winner would receive the prize of rupees 2,00,000 and the other two runners up would receive the cash prize of rupees 1,00,000 and 75,000 respectively.

There would be other 11 consolation prizes in each group and they would receive the cash prize of rupees 10,000
