Located in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, Ziro is a census town lying 115 km from the capital Itanagar. Are these just the reasons why Ziro is getting popular each year? Well, the answer here is a no. Each year more than 5,000 people swarm into this beautiful valley, making it a hub of music and destination of no cultural bounds.
The Greatest Outdoor Music Festival of India was founded in the year 2012 by Bobby Hano and Menwhopause guitarist & founder Anup Kutty and is hosted by folks of Apatani Tribal group residing in Ziro.
Extending over 4 Days of Fun, 2 Stages showcasing brilliant music shows, 40 Acts to keep you enticed and attracting 6000 Attendees.
4 days of music, art, culture and happiness grows remarkable making it India’s greatest outdoor music festival which occurs amidst mother nature and is eco-friendly at the same time. The infrastructure is built by locally sourced bamboo and naturally degradable sources.
When is Zero Festival of Music 2019?
The dates are yet TBD. Like every year, it will happen by the end of monsoon, sometime in September-October. Stay tuned with us to as we’ll publish the scheduled dates once announced.
Where will it happen?
Like each year, it will happen in the Ziro valley. Transportation takes place by road through Ziro town.
Where to stay?
As the accommodations are high in demand, it is recommended to book lodges & homestay in advance. Festival authority provides tents whose price is included with tickets or you could also bring your own tents. As this festival happens during monsoon, it’s always preferable to carry raincoats, umbrella, and gumboots.

How to reach Ziro?
Reaching Ziro is quite an adventure as there is no direct air route available. You could preferably take a flight to Guwahati or capital Itanagar. You could then take an overnight train to Naharlagun from Guwahati. You can also reach through road from Guwahati, which is 450 KMs from Ziro, but all domestic non-residents of Arunachal Pradesh will need an Inner Line Permit to enter Arunachal Pradesh, whereas Foreigners will need a Protect Area Permit.
